Our day started out much better than the last since we had a snoreless night, we got the proper amount of sleep and we were ready for a big day. We checked out of the hostel around 10:30 am and went down to the cafe to eat our oatmeal, then we went on a search to find Vee some runners because we are going on a three day trekking adventure in a few days. We were informed that the MBK Center was a good and cheaper place to do some shopping so that's where we went first. After walking around the Center for a little while we couldn't find anything so Vee got a pedicure instead... Yup a pedicure instead of shoes (thank goodness I love her more than anything lol).
After the pedicure we were quite hungry so we decided to go to a vegan restaurant that was somewhat near by, it was called Ariya Organics, it ended up being raw vegan and vegan food which was great but expensive. Since I hate cilantro(I have an excuse because it's apparently genetic) Vee had to eat both our meals and I just got a rice dish somewhere else, honestly I should know better because I know that most raw vegan and higher end vegan restaurants put cilantro in EVERYTHING.
Once we finished eating we went to check out Crossfit Bangkok, even though I can't WOD I still wanted to see what CF gyms look like here. It was such a sweet spot for a box, it was outside on a roof top that looked out over the city with the sky train passing over it. They had a bunch of shirts from other gyms pinned to their wall and we spotted one that said Crossfit Chiang Mai, which is great since that's where we're headed next!
CFBK.
Following our visit to CFBK we went and got some vegan ice cream from May Veggie restaurant, because it's amazing and we probably will never get to go there ever again. With our bellies full of coconut ice cream we took the subway and walked back to the hostel to grab our bags, it was finally time to head to the train station. It was 6:30pm by the time we arrived at the train station but our train wasn't leaving until 7:30pm so found our sleepers on the train and chilled until departure. Before we knew it, it was time to go and we were officially on route to CM, we now have a 12 hour overnight train ride and we are scheduled to arrive at our destination at 10 am. It's bedtime now so goodnight world.
A bientot,
Janelle Brine
