Pea(Sing) out!

So we woke up this am and by fault of our previously rushed morning we decided to take it slow today. I had the best breakfast yet this morning, I had almost a kilo of mangosteen and a very large and delicious mango!

After breakfast we went out on another trek and ended up in Chinatown where Vee ate an awesome Hot pot dish at Mala (her most fave yet) and I got to eat for 2 bucks! We also went to Kampong Glam and the Cloud Forest compliments of Dewi :)
Ohh and we also ended up at one of the 10,000 malls in Singapore way too many times. This one mall has a tea store (obviously Veronica the tea addict had to go in) that we all went into and asked how much 100g was of a certain kind was, guess, just guess how much... Only 1550$ NO BIG DEAL! Let me have a 70$ cup of tea thank you very much. Fawkkkk no! Oh and wait for it... There's also a hockey rink and boat rides in this mall.
Every single store we passed was a designer store and there was never anyone in it probably because they carry about 1 item of each kind and you have to have a waist line of zero to fit into it.
Ohh how can I forget our dinning experience at this wonderful mall where they charged us 50 cents for the smallest glass of water ever (sigh).
Us: We're not fancy enough for this place, let's go NOW!

After another long ass day of walking way too much we were all hurting and tired but we had to keep going. We had to catch the overnight train to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. On the way we had to return our metro passes to get refunded 10 dollars each... Would we have been running through the station (of course we were cutting it close, because the office closes at 9) to get 10 bucks back in Canada? Hell NO! I guess we're cheap out here haha! But then again the way I see it is that once in Thailand 10 bucks is 10 meals.

Following this rush (which felt like a workout since we all had out heavy backpacks on) we still had to get to the train station where there was a chance that the train was going to be full. Thankfully is wasn't and we got sleeper bunks so we got to finally rest our tired bodies and sleep for 8ish hours on the way to KL.

Hectic last day in Singapore! But it's over now and we are in Malaysia.

A bientot,
Janelle Brine
