Singapore slinging

Day 2 in Sing was a huge success! By cause of our previous 6pm nap we were all wide awake at 4am this morning. Instead of rolling around in bed we all made the decision to just got hangout in the main lounge, listen to some tunes and watch the sunrise.

Thanks to Court and Tia we were able to listen to marleigh's wicked music on our new Bluetooth speaker while partaking in some rad conversation. Once 6am ish rolled around my ADD seriously started to kick In and it was officially time to do something before I began to bug Vee and Mar.

We made a family decision to get our stuff and walk over to a little fruit stand in little India that we previously had bought our coconut waters from. We got some fresh apple & orange juice along with a humongous mango. I peeled it right then and there and ate it with my hands, I couldn't resist. I just love mangoes and it was probably the best one I've had in a very long time.

After making a massive mess and had mango all over my face we went to a place called toast box where we completed our first and delicious breakfast in Singapore. Breakfast was over and it was time to start the day! We had already been awake for 4 hours at this point so we were more than ready to get going.

We headed back to the hostel to meet up with Marleigh's friend Kindle where we planned out our day and left. First we went to the metro station and purchased some 3 day passes to permit us to travel around town easily.

After we went to the Marina Bay Sands mall (biggest and most  interesting shopping centre I've ever seen) followed by gardens by the bay where we walked around the whole thing seeing the famous Merlion and so much more, this trek took us a little over 2 hours.

We grubbed on some awesome Mediterranean food and headed to Chinatown. This place was absolutely nuts there was people selling all kinds of things. We walked around there for a while then we all decided that our feet were a bit over worked from all the walking so we went back to the hostel.

Once returned we laid down for a bit and showered to rid ourselves from the hot mess feeling that seemed to follow us everywhere. It had been 32 degrees out all day and we all definitely got sun kissed or maybe slapped? Once we chilled out we went over to the food court in little India and finished our day with some noodles and veggies :)

A bientot,
Janelle Brine
